Dr. Dale Economan of Wellspring Life Enhancement Center and Wellspring Family Medicine received his doctorate from Midwestern University-Chicago College of Osteopathic Medicine. He has been a practicing physician in Marion, for nearly 30 years. Dr. Economan has a great deal of experience. With a complete Endoscopy suite "in-office", he performed well over 20,000 colonoscopies on patients in the past 30 years, which he plans to continue. He also specialized in Aesthetic medicine for more than 9 years, including laser treatments and BOTOX injections.
He has had hands-on training from some of the most respected plastic surgeons in the U.S. Training included surgeons in Beverly Hills, New York, Orlando, Palm Beach, and Chicago---as well as other locations. Beverly Hills was where he trained in BOTOX Cosmetic, long before it was a household word. Having over 9 years of experience, he really enjoys working with the entire, hi-tech, state of the art, laser platform introduced by Cutera. Dr. Economan does all of the Lipodissolve and laser procedures, himself. He will be with you throughout the procedure, and you will experience LITTLE or NO pain.
He is a member of the American Academy of Family Physicians, American College of Osteopathic Family Physicians, Indiana Medical Association, Indiana Osteopathic Association, and he is also one of the founding board members of the new Progressive Cancer Care Center, located right here, in Marion, Indiana. It also has all state of the art equipment as well.
He enjoys spending time with his wife, children, and grandchildren, flying his plane, likes classic cars and snow skiing with the family. He loves his patients!
Someday, his goal (also using his love of flying), is to use his plane to help people in need, by transporting organ donations, or transporting critically ill patients in need, to trauma hospitals or to accept an organ.

LASER HAIR REMOVAL
Now men and women are making unwanted facial and body hair a thing of the past, thanks to our laser systems. No more painful waxing, electrolysis or razors! Our laser systems deliver 21st century technology for treatment of this distressing problem. Cleared for permanent hair reduction, we can treat men and women of all skin tones safely and effectively. Even patients with a suntan.
Our Difference
We can treat all skin tones, from light to dark, including tanned patients. Our laser has a unique design, longer wave length, and innovative cooling design which allow extremely effective, safe and permanent results.
What areas can be treated?
We can remove hair from all parts of the body including the face, legs, arms, underarms, and back. We can also treat sensitive areas like the chest, nipples, and bikini line.
What do laser treatments feel like?
Our handpiece cools and soothes as it glides along your skin. When the pulse of light is delivered, some patients experience a mild pinching or stinging sensation. No local anesthesia or pain medication is typically required, however some patients may prefer to use a topical anesthetic when sensitive areas are treated.
How many treatments will I need?
Most areas require 3-6 treatments, but the number of treatments you may require for optimal long-term benefits depends on various factors such as your hair’s thickness, the area treated, and your hair’s growth cycle. Interestingly, not all hairs are actively growing at the same time, but actually go through three distinct phases: growth, regression, and resting. Our systems work by disabling the hair that is principally in the active growth phase at the time of treatment. Since other hairs will enter this active growth phase at different times, additional treatments may be necessary to disable all of the hair follicles in a given area.
What happens after the treatment?
Immediately following your treatment, the area may appear a bit red and swollen. Three to seven days after treatment you may experience what seems to be re growth of hair. Actually, most of these hairs are being shed as a result of your treatment, and are not regrowing. Between treatments you should not wax or pluck your hair, but it is permissible to shave.
Are there any restrictions on my activity after treatment?
Following the treatment, you can return to your normal activities right away. However, since some redness may occur, you may want to plan your work or social engagements accordingly. The use of sunscreen is recommended on any treated areas exposed to the sun. As always, it is a good idea to limit your sun exposure. In addition, your physician may recommend that you use a specially formulated skin care product line or prescribe a skin care regimen especially formulated for your skin type.
What are the possible side effects?
Slight reddening and local swelling of the skin, similar to a sunburn may occur in some patients. These effects typically last for several hours or less. In rare instances, blistering may occur. Consult with your medical professional for complete information on the benefits and risks of treatment.
How do lasers compare with other hair removal methods?
Shaving, waxing, and depilatory creams are all temporary methods which must be repeated on a frequent basis. Our lasers offer permanent hair reduction for lasting results.
How do lasers compare with Electrolysis?
Electrolysis is a tedious, invasive, and painful process that involves inserting a needle into each individual hair follicle and delivering an electrical charge to them one at a time. Electrolysis often requires years of treatments at regular intervals. By delivering light energy to hundreds of hair follicles at a time, lasers effectively treat an area in just seconds that would take over an hour with electrolysis.
