Dr. Michael Malczewski

Dr. Michael Malczewski is a third generation resident of Lake County, Indiana and a graduate of Andrean High School. He received a degree in genetics from Purdue University and attended medical school at Indiana University. Dr. Malczewski received his medical degree in 1987 and subsequently did a residency in general surgery followed by a fellowship in plastic surgery. Dr. Malczewski is board certified in plastic surgery by the American Board of Plastic Surgery and is a member of the American Society of Plastic Surgeons, the American College of Surgery, and the American Medical Association. Dr. Malczewski's education and training have included authorship of numerous scientific articles as well as nomination into Alpha Omega Alpha, a prestigious national medical academic honor society.
Surgical Training

Dr. Malczewski's Surgical training included a surgical internship at Loyola University and a residency in general surgery at Michigan State University. He completed his training in plastic surgery at Southern Illinois University in 1995 under the instruction of Dr. Elvin Zook, then president of the American Society of Plastic Surgeons.

Sixteen years of higher education at well respected universities under the instruction of world renowned experts in their fields has enabled Dr. Malczewski to bring considerable expertise in the field of plastic surgery home to Northwest Indiana and the Chicagoland area.
