Technology
Lightsheer Laser Hair Removal

* We are utilizing the LightSheer Diode Laser (by Lumenis) which is the "Gold Standard" for hair removal with an unsurpassed library of clinically documented success.
* Lumenis uses high-powered 800 nm diode technology with variable pulse widths and patented ChillTip handpiece to allow for safe and effective permanent hair reduction in the widest range of skin types, hair colors and diameters.

How It Works

* Succesful hair removal is achieved by destroying the entire hair and the germinative cells, while preserving surrounding healthy tissue. Results are best when the hair is in it's active growth phase. Since the growth cycle varies, multiple treatments scheduled 3-5 weeks apart are typically required for optimal results
* Lasers gently remove unwanted hair by introducing light energy with optimized wavelengths and pulse durations to selectively cause thermal injury to the hair follicle.
* The light penetrates through the skin and is absorbed in the target pigment (melanin) found in the hair shaft. This causes the temperature to reach a sufficiently high level in the hair follicle so that the targeted hair stuctures are destroyed and regrowth is inhibited.
* LightSheer's ChillTipâ„¢ handpiece minimizes potential collateral epidermal damage caused by light absorption by melanin in the skin. This provides a gentle and virtually pain-free experience.
